One of the perks of being a husband of a teacher, you get to go to school again and… feel young again.
There is this certain vibe at schools, like a drum beat that dictates their pace and mood. No wonder teachers make a career out of teaching. The student’s energy is very contagious.
My favorite place in all schools, guess what? the canteen! I love canteen food and most especially observing what groups of students do.
Picture this: excitement, anticipation, and love.
Some are so eager to complete their degree and some are eager on figuring out what career they want to pursue. I see students discussing about their projects, friends hanging out having fun taking a break from learning, and the very serious ones whose eyes are glued to their books looking forward to ace their exams.
It is refreshing how passionate they are; pure, unadulterated, authentic. I always go out feeling refreshed and motivated; it rekindles passion for work. Remember: 5, 10, 20 years ago you were a student who was very eager to finish school so you can build career or business someday. If somehow you are dragging yourself to work now, remember that you yearned for a career years ago. Maybe it’s time to remember that desire. I
Today is a Monday, Manic Monday as some people would say. Do know that you are part of the fortunate 94% of Filipinos who has a job. Another reason to appreciate work is that you are able to provide for yourself and your family, #parakaninokabumabangon. Lastly, you are able to contribute to nation-building; your production helps our economy directly and indirectly.
